The HABs Watch team is a collaborative network comprising approximately 70 individuals from diverse backgrounds. Our team brings together members from various University of the Philippines campuses (Diliman, Baguio, Tacloban), Western Philippines University, Palawan State University – Puerto Princesa Campus, Mindanao State University – Naawan, Mariano Marcos State University, Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, Central Luzon State University, and an international partner, the University of California Santa Cruz. Together, we are dedicated to monitoring and studying harmful algal blooms (HABs), leveraging our collective expertise to proactively safeguard marine resources, protect public health, and advocate for sustainable practices and policies for a healthier future.
